Painted carved wood, with glass eyes. I feel it bears carving details to the Susquehanna River and Havre de Grace, MD, school of carving. More of a decorative piece, the bird is in excellent shelf-used condition, with rubs and scuffs to paint only, appropriate to its life and age, but a little dusty, and needing a clean up.
