When the tide went out the hunters had to drag a boat and all of their gear across many sand bars to hunt ducks. That made the wood boat, guns, ammo, decoys, very heavy and a real challenge. Ed carved 2/3 the normal size so the hunter could have more decoys on the water with less weight. These are RARE and very sought after made by Kellie. Some range in the thousands of dollars.
