Up for sale is a wonderful antique hand carved wooden black duck decoy sculpture.It is beautifully carved with nice detailing, painted by hand, and has acquired a nice patina from age.This wooden flat bottom decoy has a carved cork body and dome shaped metal eyes. It measures 14 inches long by 6 1/2 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide.There is apparent paint loss along with a loss by the neck. Because of the long primary carving, I suspect this is from the late 1920’s or 1930’s. The decoy is marked by a previous collector that it is made by Ben, but I see more traits that this was made by his older brother, Frank.
